Drug-free macromolecular therapeutics

Scientists from the Department of Biomedical Polymers (Mgr. Marina Rodrigues Tavares, Dr. Michal Pechar, Dr. Petr Chytil, Dr. Tomáš Etrych) have focused on the development of drug-free macromolecular therapeutics. These unique biomedical polymers belong to new classes of drugs called “macromolecular therapeutics without treatment”. Their advantage is a reduced load on the body due to the absence of a toxic chemotherapeutic. Their new study was published as the cover page of Macromolecular Bioscience.
