Description |
Nanostructured conducting polymer-based composites will be synthesized electrochemically by potentiostatic, galvanostatic (constant potential or constant current) or potentiodynamic (cyclic voltammetry) method. A variety of modern characterization techniques such as advanced methods of energy-resolved electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, vibrational spectroscopy and various microscopy techniques will be used to understand the relation between the molecular structure, micro-structure and macroscopic properties of such conducting films. The addition of a second component to conducting polymers shall improve their mechanical strength, conductivity, electroactivity and specific surface area, which are important for targeted applications. A significant part of the research will be focused on the electrochemical properties of these materials and their application as supercapacitors. |
