Mgr. Martin Hrubý, Ph.D., DSc
I am Head of the Department of Supramolecular Polymer Systems and Head of the SUPRAMOL Centre (with 45 employees) at Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry, Czech Academy of Sciences. I have been working at IMC since my Master studies throughout the PhD, which I defended in 2006. At IMC, I have been focusing on polymer chemistry, physical chemistry of polymers and self-assembly in polymer systems, drug and radionuclide delivery systems, metal chelation as well as biocompatible polymers. During my carrier, I highly focused on my research and leadership activities, which led to my appointment as the Head of the Department in 2020. I have been Principal investigator or co-investigator of 16 research projects, including a Horizon 2020 project PRECIOUS (GA ID: 686089), where I am responsible for nanoparticle preparation and physico-chemical characterization.
Up to now I have published in total 209 peer-reviewed papers with 3623 citations, 1 monograph and 8 chapters in monographs, 18 invited lectures, current H-index is 31 (WoS). The most cited publication has 345 citations (according to Web of Science). Principal investigator (or co-investigator) of 16 research projects, including a Horizon 2020 project. Author or co-author of 255 original conference contributions and 6 patents (from which the international patent WO2005118508A3 “Preparation for induction of increased production of bioactive compounds in plants and its use”, 2005, priority CZ296300B6 2004-06-04 is currently licensed and manufactured), 4 utility models and 11 functional samples.
